Recent articles in the UK's Daily Mail and its counterpart in NYC, the Daily News are transforming a small but growing photography trend called Rooftopping into a full-blown phenomenon.

As you might have guessed, rooftopping is the act of scaling tall buildings in order to photograph the surrounding cityscape from a unique and vertiginous vantage point. Hundreds of folks around the globe are sharing images of their own adventures, but the scene's most prominent figure is 27-year-old Torontan Tom Ryaboi, who claims to have "been on more roofs than Santa Claus" since getting into rooftopping back in 2007.
