King Krule
King Krule, also known as Archy Marshall & formerly known as Zoo Kid , just released his debut EP on True Panther last week. The video for "The Noose of Jah City" hit today. The EP is an unexpected blend of reverb-drenched think pieces backed by sampled beats and laptop wizardry. You can hear everything from Leonard Cohen and Billy Bragg to Gang Starr and Skinnyman. It is a sincere and genre-defying effort from the young Londoner.
While King Krule was in NYC for CMJ he stopped by the Palladium Lounge in the Fader Fort where he scooped up a pair of Pallabrouse Baggy in metal / black. We were psyched to see him perform. If you're in London tomorrow, he is playing a show at Corsica Studios, an incredible not-for-profit community arts organization that revitalizes abandoned buildings and non-traditional spaces for a wide spectrum of music and art.
